Greg Gifford, AutoRevo’s Director of Search & Social, has been a member of DFWSEM since 2010 before accepting this board position in January of 2012. As an active member of the SEO community, Gifford’s primary focus will be reaching out to industry innovators and experts and coordinating speaking opportunities at DFWSEM. “I’m excited to be on the board and help grow the organization,” said Gifford. “Working with others in the community is one of the best ways to help educate Dallas about opportunities and changes in SEO.”
One month later in February of 2012, Owen Nwanze, AutoRevo’s Search Coordinator, accepted the position of Technology Chair for the Social Media Club of Dallas. Nwanze’s background in web development and social media are what made him an ideal choice for this volunteer position. “Before coming to AutoRevo, I ran my own web design and development company,” said Nwanze. “The Social Media Club is an intensely collaborative professional network and I’m looking forward to developing a web presence that shines a spotlight on those efforts.”
Both Gifford and Nwanze believe these outside opportunities will positively affect their ability to provide the latest best practices to their AutoRevo clients. “Our job is to take the work out of social marketing so our dealers can spend their time getting more leads and selling more cars,” said Gifford. “But it doesn’t hurt that we’re passionate about what we do and being active in the community actually inspires us to be even better.”
