Actually USE Your Website – Tuesday Tip Video Clip

Take a step back and think about why you’ve got your dealership website… To get more leads, right? So why is your site so boring? This week’s video talks about how you should optimize your site to make it awesome, so you’ll get more leads – and sell more cars.

Hello again, and welcome to another Tuesday Tip Video Clip. This week, we’re talking about your dealer website – specifically, what you actually do with your website.

Take a big step back, and think about why you actually have your website. No – that’s actually wrong… you don’t have a website to sell cars. That’s the end result. Your website is to increase your visibility and get more leads.

So if the purpose of your website is to increase your visibility and get more leads, why aren’t you doing more with it? Yeah, I said it – your website is boring. It looks just like every other dealership website out there.

It probably says that you’re different from other dealers and you treat customers like family. You probably also say that you’re the best dealer in [INSERT YOUR CITY HERE].

Also – you can’t just put up a website and expect to succeed anymore. Every dealer has a website now, and chances are, your competitors have similar vehicles at similar prices.

So what’s my point? You need to actually USE your website for what it’s meant for… you need an awesome design that isn’t a boring template. You need unique, informative text on your pages. You need photos of your dealership. You need to write actual descriptive vehicle descriptions, and you need to take at least 40 photos of every vehicle.
You’ve also got to get your site and inventory noticed. You’ve got to use Craigslist, eBay Motors, AutoTrader, and all the other big classified sites. You’ve got to engage with customers on social media. You’ve got to do SEO so that your site will show up in searches.

If you just put up a simple site and don’t make it awesome, it’s like you bought a newspaper ad in your local paper, but you asked them to only run the ad in 4 individual papers out of the circulation of 1 million that go out in your city.

Go log in to your provider and make your site awesome… and you’ll end up getting more leads and selling more cars.
